Job summary

Optum is hiring a Patient Check-In Representative in Chelmsford, MA to deliver high‑level service and support patient-clinician relationships. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, and collect payments in a fast‑paced clinic environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year healthcare customer service, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Training is required at a second location before start, with a Monday–Friday schedule 8:30am–5pm EST.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer-facing experience in healthcare.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and performs health screening at check-in.
• Verifies demographics and insurance in the Practice Management System.
• Collects payments and balances cash per policy.
• Ensures proper forms are completed and signed for compliance and billing.
• Performs cashier duties and daily cash reconciliation.
• Maintains PHI confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
