Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Chelmsford, MA is seeking a Patient Check-In Representative to greet patients, perform check-in, health screening, verify demographics and insurance, and ensure forms are completed for clinical visits. You will handle payments, balance cash, and support billing while maintaining HIPAA privacy.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm EST, in the Central Check-In department, with training at a secondary location as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of customer-facing experience in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and performs check-in and required health screening.
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance information in the Practice Management System.
• Ensures forms are completed, signed, and up-to-date for billing and compliance.
• Collects co-pays and balances and posts payments to the patient account.
• Performs cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation per established procedures.
• Utilizes Epic System and other databases for referrals and registration details.
