Job summary

Synectics Inc. seeks a Patient Services Representative II to serve as the face of the company to patients and to draw quality blood samples. You will explain procedures, ensure accurate labeling, and maintain a safe, professional environment across doctors’ offices or patient service centers.

The role requires strong phlebotomy skills, high school diploma, and experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting with attention to confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
• Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
• Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
• Superior Customer Focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors and patients; ability to accelerate and embrace change; and knowledge of our business.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Dermatology office not a lot of blood draws more derms send out
• Shift/Time Zone: Monday - Friday 8-5

Responsibilities

• Represents the face of the company to patients.
• Draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing.
• Explains procedures to patients and performs venipuncture safely and accurately.
• Demonstrates Leadership Behaviors with focus on process excellence and confidentiality.
• Assignments may include doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or as needed.
• Under supervision, performs daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintains a safe and professional environment.
• Performs forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties per procedures.
• Verifies patient demographic info/initials and correct labeling post-venipuncture.
• Maintains required records and documentation.
• Promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public.
