Job summary

One Medical is seeking a Lab Services Specialist to provide venipuncture and extended scope clinical support in our Inner Sunset office in San Francisco. You will work closely with a diverse team to ensure patient care remains primary, handling specimens and supporting the care team both in-office and remotely as needed.

Qualifications

• Active phlebotomy certification to practice in CA and 6+ months of relevant experience as MA/Phlebotomist.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with typing, internet navigation and multiple software systems.
• Experience working on collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams (remote teams a plus).
• Ability to display confidence and instill trust during collection.
• Proven persistence through change and quick learning.
• Experience with extended scope care (non-blood collection, EKGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD, swabs).

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class venipuncture services from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Perform/assist with extended scope duties (non-blood collection, EKG/ECG, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD, swabs).
• Maintain proper labeling, handling, processing, inventory, and sterilization of tools.
• Assist with clerical duties, patient messaging, lab case follow-ups, and medical records review.
• Master tech stack (Slack, G-suite, Zoom, 1Life EMR) to collaborate with team.
