Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking a Radiology Sonographer to perform imaging procedures in accordance with practice standards to support diagnosis and treatment.

The role requires ARDMS or RVT certification (or a new graduate awaiting registration) and BLS within 14 days of hire. You will maintain equipment and contribute to department performance improvement and patient safety.

Recent experience as a sonographer is preferred; basic computer literacy is required for daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Proof of registry (by primary source) must be available within 120 calendar days of graduation.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principles/theory and uses the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.
