Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years experience required.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric care.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime as needed.
• Must demonstrate strong customer focus and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and establish a trusting atmosphere.
• Verify patient demographics and labeling post-venipuncture for accuracy.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Work in outpatient and inpatient lab settings as assigned.
• Operate with a focus on process excellence and confidentiality.
