Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Health Science preferred.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Demonstrated Medical Assistant competencies within one year of hire.
• Basic familiarity with computers; navigate basic web-based applications.

Responsabilidades

• Contributes to patient, practice, and organizational goals through relationship development and care team coordination.
• Assists patient during visit; informs patient/provider of delays and updates medication/allergy lists.
• Communicates clearly with patient and team; provides hand-offs to providers.
• Performs medical assisting duties under supervision (vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, immunizations).
• Leads conversations to meet population health goals; conducts outreach and basic health coaching.
• Monitors and maintains medical equipment; ensures clean, stocked, and within expiration dates.
• Uses EHR to queue prescriptions, document visits, and order tests/services.
• Schedules diagnostic and lab tests; verifies insurance and referrals.
