Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Patient Care Assistant/Unit Administrative Assistant to support the interprofessional team in delivering high quality care. The role includes basic ADL assistance, communicating with patients, families and physicians, and coordinating with the Operations Administrator for unit workflow.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma, 18+ months CNA/CMA/PCA experience, and a BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior CNA/CMA/PCA experience (18+ months) preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Answer unit calls and transfer as appropriate; support through timely communication.
• Greet patients and visitors; assist with directions and guidance while maintaining confidentiality.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to report patient care information clearly and timely.
• Assist with ADL care and basic patient needs under nurse supervision.
