Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Assistant/Unit Administrative Assistant (PCA/UAA) to support the interprofessional team in delivering high-quality care. The role performs basic ADLs and communicates with physicians, nurses, and staff under licensed supervision, adhering to ICARE values and hospital standards.

The position includes Part-Time Days, 24 hours per week with rotating weekends/holidays, 6:30am-3:00pm, on-site in Baytown.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of CNA/CMA/PCA experience
• One year of secretarial/office training or six months internal cross-training
• Prior health care experience and/or medical terminology preferred
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming unit calls and transfers as appropriate.
• Greets patients and visitors, provides directions and information.
• Supports throughputs with timely communication and problem resolution.
