Qualifikationen

• Computer experience required.
• Healthcare experience within the last five years preferred.
• Completion of C.N.A. course (or completion within four months of hire date) required.

Aufgaben

• Answer patients' call lights in a timely manner and address requests or report to a coworker to fulfill the request.
• Perform skin assessment and report abnormal results to licensed nurse in a timely manner.
• Perform activities of daily living (ADL's).
• Maintain clean patient rooms and change linens as appropriate.
• Collect and correctly label specimens (urine, feces, sputum).
• Deliver messages, documents, and specimens.
• Feed patients who are unable to feed themselves.
• Observe patients' conditions, including intake/output and vital signs; report changes to staff promptly.
• Provide patients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
• Transport patients to treatment units using wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Turn and reposition patients to prevent pressure ulcers.
• Document activities in medical records accurately and timely.
• Perform blood glucose monitoring and report abnormal results to licensed nurse promptly.
• Appropriate use of bed/chair alarms for fall prevention.
