Northwestern Medicine is hiring an Immediate Care Technician to support physicians and APPs, manage patient flow, and perform essential patient care tasks. You will assist with exams, prepare rooms, and help with referrals and discharge processes.

A strong emphasis is placed on patient confidentiality and professional interactions with patients and staff. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and eligibility for clinical certifications within six months of hire.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Within six months of employment, complete one of CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA certifications.
• Certification required upon hire for EMT-Paramedic or EMT-B license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate patient flow and assist with patient care activities.
• Assist MD/APP with procedures and visits.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Assist with referrals, transfers, and discharge processes.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide professional patient interactions.
