Job summary

Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a day-shift, full-time Med Surg Wound Care PCT to support nursing staff and provide direct patient care. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient progress, and help with specimens and transport.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities (bathing, dressing, eating) under supervision.
• Observe patients’ progress and relay reports to RN or medical staff.
• Obtain and record vital signs; collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measure and record intake/output; assist with range of motion; draw blood.

Responsibilities

• Work under the moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties, which include assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observe patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to the Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assist patients with range of motion, and draw blood.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Two (2) years of experience in acute or long-term care.
• Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification, or currently enrolled in nursing school.
