Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a full-time Day Shift Med Surg Wound Care Patient Care Tech. You will support nursing staff by assisting patients with daily activities and monitoring their condition, including vital signs and specimen collection.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Prior acute or long-term care experience is preferred, along with CNA/PCT/paramedic certification or enrollment in nursing school.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.
• Two years of experience in acute or long‑term care is preferred.
• CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification, or current enrollment in nursing school is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with daily activities (bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs) under moderate supervision.
• Observe patients' progress and relay reports to Nurses or physicians.
• Obtain and record vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests as directed.
• Provide basic patient transport and maintain cleanliness in patient areas.
• Measure and record intake/output and assist with range of motion; assist with drawing blood as needed.

Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT:

• Work under the moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties, which include assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observe patients' progress to prepare and disseminate reports to the Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assist patients with range of motion, and draw blood.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Two (2) years of experience in acute or long-term care.
• Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification, or currently enrolled in nursing school.
