Job summary

Virtua Health seeks a part-time Patient Care Technician to assist patients with daily living activities and support the clinical team on site at Voorhees, NJ. You will help with bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility, while monitoring patients and communicating changes to nurses.

Training in phlebotomy or EKG may be required for certain shifts. The role emphasizes safety, standard precautions and patient education, contributing to high-quality care and patient satisfaction across the hospital

Qualifications

• Must have basic patient care skills and the ability to communicate clearly with patients, families and staff.
• Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating care and supporting the clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding and mobility.
• Monitor and report patient status, vital signs and changes to RN/LPN.
• Support isolation precautions and safe patient practices in accordance with policy.
• May assist with phlebotomy and EKGs where certified.
• Contribute to patient education and satisfaction initiatives.
• Participate in orientation of new hires and performance improvement activities.
