Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician to assist with activities of daily living under RN/LPN supervision. You will support the healthcare team, communicate with patients and families, and help deliver safe, ethical care close to home.

Responsibilities include vital signs, basic nursing tasks, phlebotomy and EKGs if certified, and reinforcing education. A high school diploma and PCT/CNA training or equivalent experience are required; BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of basic patient care skills and standards.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• PCT/CNA training or equivalent patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and plan of care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Support healthcare team, patients and families, and maintain professional ethics.
• Perform vital signs, phlebotomy and EKG if certified, and document changes in patient status.
• Reinforce patient and family education, participate in quality initiatives and orientations.
