Job summary

Ascension Via Christi – Wichita, KS is seeking a compassionate CNA or equivalent for night-shift PRN roles in the Med Surg department. The position involves hands-on patient care under licensed nursing staff, safe movement support, and vigilant observation of patient condition, with emphasis on cleanliness and equipment readiness.

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or GED or active CNA Certification and a current BLS certification. Prior caregiving experience is preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provide hands-on assistance with basic patient care under the guidance of licensed nursing staff

• Observe and report changes in patients' physical, emotional, or mental condition to the nursing team promptly
• Maintain clean, organized patient rooms and ensure medical equipment is properly cared for and ready for use

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED or an active CNA Certification required.
