Highmark Health in Erie, PA seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care for stable patients and assist RNs with acutely ill patients. You will document care in the EMR, support admissions/discharges/transfers, and help maintain a clean, safe unit.

The role requires two weeks of training, the ability to read, write and follow instructions, basic math skills, and basic computer literacy. Prior acute care is preferred but not required.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.
• Limited or no experience; two weeks of training required.
• Preferred: Acute care exposure in last 3 years.

Aufgaben

• Provides, obtains or performs and documents direct patient care including activities of daily living and vital signs.
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives (bedside shift report, hourly rounding, safety protocols).
• Accurately documents vitals, I&O, treatments and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Performs unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
