Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Acute care experience within last 3 years.
• Preferred: Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program with at least one clinical rotation.
• Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and document activities such as vitals, ADLs, intake/output, and specimens.
• Assist RN in care of acutely ill patients and coordinate unit activities.
• Maintain patient environment, practice medical asepsis, and ensure privacy and dignity of patients and families.
• Document care accurately in electronic medical records and communicate changes to nursing staff.
• Participate in rounds and ensure timely patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
