Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join an interdisciplinary team. Under RN supervision, you will provide direct and indirect care, promote patient safety, and support the plan of care from admission to discharge.

The role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and teamwork, with responsibilities including vitals, specimen collection, phlebotomy, EKG, and ensuring equipment readiness.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Completion of one of the following: CNA/MA/PCT program, Fundamentals of Nursing, HMH PCT Apprenticeship, or equivalent medical background; if selected for apprenticeship, will transfer to PCT.
• Ability to learn quickly, strong accountability, teamwork, and patient-focused care are required.

Aufgaben

• Provide patient care based on age-specific criteria and safety.
• Record vitals and document findings; notify RN of abnormalities.
• Demonstrate effective communication with patients and health care team.
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens; lab processing and labeling.
• Perform EKGs and ensure equipment is clean and functional.
• Assist with patient transport, hygiene, and daily activities.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and participate in PI activities.
