Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff in delivering patient-centered care. The PCT assists with activities of daily living, collects data such as vital signs, and maintains a safe, organized care environment under RN/LPN supervision.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in acute care or are enrolled in a nursing program; BCLS within 90 days; CNA or CPCT certification preferred; commitment to infection control and PPE protocols is essential.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in acute care preferred.
• BCLS within 90 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and ensuring a clean, safe environment.
• Collect and record patient data, including vital signs and intake/output, and report to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Assist with patient positioning and use of mobility aids.
• Maintain infection control protocols and proper use of PPE.
