Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to perform delegated tasks under the supervision of an RN or LPN. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, accurate data collection, and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The PCT supports activities of daily living, helps with mobility, and communicates effectively with the care team to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required.
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred or CPCT certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Collects and records vital signs and intake/output, reporting to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Supports patients with meals, bathing, grooming and mobility assistance.
• Assists with positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Performs glucose monitoring and specimen collection as directed.
