Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vitals, and maintaining a safe care environment.

The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of acute care experience or is enrolled in a nursing program, with BCLS within 90 days of hire, and CPCT/CNA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a nursing program preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required.
• CPCT or CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care and maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Collect and record patient data including vital signs, intake/output, and reports to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, mobility and use of mobility aids.
• Position, reposition, and assist with ambulation and use of mobility devices.
• Ensure infection control and proper PPE usage and maintain a clean environment.
