Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide high-quality, patient-centered support under the supervision of RNs and LPNs. The role includes assisting with daily living activities and maintaining a safe care environment.

The PCT will collect vital signs, support with meals and mobility, and document results for the care team. Candidates should have 0–2 years in acute care, BCLS within 90 days, and CNA/CPCT certification preferred. HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required; CPCT or CNA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Collects and records vital signs and input/output data for RN/LPN/LVN review.
• Assists with meals, bathing, grooming, mobility, and daily living activities.
• Performs urine/stool sample collection and basic glucose monitoring as directed.
• Communicates patient information effectively to the care team and adheres to PPE protocols.
