Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our multidisciplinary team, delivering direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision to promote safety, comfort, and continuity of care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of CNA/MA/PCT programs or nursing fundamentals, with HMH PCT Apprentice Program eligibility. Phlebotomy and EKG experience are preferred. NJ BLS/CPR within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of CNA/Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician program or Fundamentals of Nursing or HMH PCT Apprenticeship.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and work as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care based on age and needs under RN supervision.
• Ensure safe and effective patient outcomes through clinical judgment.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and the health care team.
• Take initiative to improve job performance and patient care.
• Collaborate on patients’ plan of care from admission to discharge.
• Participate in Unit/Department Performance Improvement activities.
