Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care in Michigan is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our clinical team. You will take patient histories, obtain vital signs, assist providers during exams, and help maintain smooth patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 6+ months of relevant experience; EMT Basic or CMA/RMA credentials are preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role.
• Preferred experience in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy.
• Computer knowledge and skills, including use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• CPR certification and ability to maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy if certified.
• Complete paperwork for lab tests and order entries.
• Perform point-of-care testing (strep, glucose, influenza, etc.).
• Coordinate records for ancillary care and assist providers during exams.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and ensure clean examination rooms.
