Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team in Michigan. You will support front-end and clinical operations, take patient histories, and assist with examinations and testing to ensure efficient patient flow.

The role emphasizes phlebotomy, vital signs, and documentation, with opportunities for growth and continuing education within a expanding urgent care network.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role.
• Prefer Urgent Care/Occupational Medicine/Phlebotomy experience.
• EMT Basic or Medical Assistant credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy for lab samples if certified.
• Complete paperwork for lab tests ordered on samples.
• Conduct point of care tests (strep, glucose, influenza, urinalysis).
• Coordinate records for ancillary care for patients.
• Assist providers with exams and testing.
• Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA) and ensure device functionality.
• Document patient history, exam findings, and procedures.
