Job summary

Ascension's Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, TX, seeks a dedicated full-time ED support teammate for night shifts. You will assist with patient movement, daily living activities, and documentation, while keeping rooms clean and equipment ready.

ED-specific duties apply under nursing supervision. Requirements include a High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of relevant experience and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable experience required.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Aids with movement and placement of patients.
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.
• Keeps patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.
• Performs emergency department specific care/duties as assigned within scope of job.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
