Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician to support a specific patient population in a hospital setting. Under RN supervision, you will provide direct and indirect care, promote patient safety, and participate in interdisciplinary care planning.

You will perform phlebotomy, EKGs, vital sign checks, and assist with daily activities as needed. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED and completion of a PCT/CNA/MA program or apprenticeship; AHA BLS

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Completion of PCT/CNA/MA program or apprenticeship; EMT/MA/CMA experience considered.
• BLS/AHA certification required or obtained within 60 days.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care based on age and needs, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Take vitals, document findings, and notify RN of abnormal results.
• Draw blood and perform EKGs as directed by the care team.
• Maintain equipment and assist with patient transport and daily activities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support care plans.
