Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our hospital team. Under RN supervision, you will provide direct and indirect patient care, document vital signs, collect specimens, and assist with admissions, transport, and daily care tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of one of the following: CNA, Medical Assistant, PCT program or HMH PCT Apprenticeship; or equivalent medical background.
• Ability to learn quickly, strong teamwork, and focus on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age and clinical criteria.
• Communicate with nursing staff regarding patient status.
• Record and report vital signs and lab results to RN.
• Assist with admission, transport, hygiene, and daily activities.
• Support interdisciplinary care plans and PI activities.
• Ensure equipment readiness and safety across the unit.
