Mercy Health in Warren, OH is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at St. Joseph Warren Hospital to assist nurses with basic patient care and daily tasks. The PCT will sanitize rooms, monitor vital signs, and support patient needs such as feeding and grooming.

Ideal candidates have a nursing aide training program or STNA/CNA certification and are ready to work in an acute care setting. Training in EPIC EHR is preferred and Mercy Health offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have completed one of the following: nursing aide training program OR STNA/CNA options OR nursing program with a clinical rotation

Responsabilités

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, personal care and mobility assistance.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes and concerns.
• Delivers high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Maintains accurate, timely documentation of patient care.
• Participates in hand-offs with pertinent information at start and end of shifts.
• Performs delegated tasks once competency is validated.
• Mobilizes patients using safe transfer techniques and promotes independence.
