Job summary

Qualifications

• Nursing aide training or equivalent.
• STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide) or CNA certification, or nursing program with clinicals.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred; obtain before direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, hygiene and mobility support.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Deliver high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in hand-offs and report pertinent information on arrival and departure.
• Mobilize patients using safe transfer techniques and encourage independence.
