Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for St. Rita's Medical Center. The role involves basic patient care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living while coordinating with nurses and other staff.

Training in EPIC EHR is preferred. The position is full-time, days to afternoons with occasional weekend work, and may require float to different units as needed.

Qualifications

• Recent clinical experience or completion of nursing aide training or STNA/CNA equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic patient care and monitoring with accuracy.
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including hygiene, feeding, and comfort.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the nurse promptly.
• Assist with mobility and daily activities to support independence.
• Document care accurately and timely in the EHR.
• Coordinate hand-offs and communicate patient needs across units.
