Bon Secours Mercy Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Southside Regional Medical Center in Virginia. The PCT provides basic patient care under the supervision of the RN, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and ensuring patient comfort.

The role requires recent acute care experience, on-site availability, and preferred BLS certification. Training in EPIC EHR is offered, with competitive pay and employee benefits.

Formación

• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)
• Must have completed one of the following: nursing aide training program OR STNA OR CNA OR nursing program with a clinical course OR 1 year of relevant clinical experience

Responsabilidades

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, hygiene and mobility assistance
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes/concerns
• Delivers high-quality customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff
• Documents patient care accurately and timely
• Participates in hand-offs/reports upon arrival and departure
• Performs delegated tasks once competency is validated
• Assists with patient transfer/mobility using safe techniques
• Encourages patient independence and participation in activities
• Tailors care to individual patient preferences and needs
