Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Southside Regional Medical Center. The role provides essential patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including Vital signs, hygiene, mobility, and comfort.

You will document care, communicate changes to the care team, and support patient and family needs within a compassionate, faith-based setting. The position requires completion of a nursing aide program or equivalent certification, with BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have nursing aide training program OR STNA OR CNA OR Nursing program with clinicals
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred prior to direct patient care
• Strong communication and patient-care teamwork required

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, hygiene and mobility support
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse; report changes/concerns
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients, families and staff
• Document patient care accurately and timely
• Assist with hand-offs and transfers using safe techniques
