Job summary

The position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time hires, with shift rotations that include weekends and holidays. BLS/CPR completion is required or obtained within three months of hire, and CNA/EMT certifications are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Experience: Must be at least 16 years old.
• Some positions may require at least 18 years old.
• License(s)/Certification(s): CNA Certification preferred or EMT-B Certification, BLS is required or obtained within 3 months.
• Minimum Experience: On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care under supervision of a nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Document care provided and assist with respiratory support as directed by RN.

Patient Care Technician - Lutheran Hospital

Under the direct supervision of a Nurse, the Patient Care Tech provides basic nursing care for the personal and comfort needs of the patient.

Units & Shifts Available

• 3 North Cardiology
• Shift: Full-Time Nights
• Emergency Department
• Shifts: Full-Time Day/Night Flex
• Part-Time Day/Evening Flex
• 2 North Med/Surg
• Shift: Full-Time Nights
• Please note: shifts will include a weekend and holiday rotation

Shift Differentials

• Shift differential of $2.65/hr for hours worked 3pm-7am
• Weekend shift differential of $2.50/hr for hours worked between Friday 11pm to Monday 7am

Responsibilities

• PCT performs patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
• Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
• Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
• Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.

Qualifications

Experience: Must be at least 16 years old

License(s)/Certification(s): Successful completion and documentation of one of the following:

• CNA Certification preferred
• Basic CNA Course or EMT-B Certification
• Valid Driver's License when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within three months from date of hire

Minimum Experience: Comprehensive on-the-job training provided
