UnityPoint Health's Methodist Hospital seeks a Patient Care Technician to assist with basic nursing care under RN supervision and provide comfort-focused support to patients at the Des Moines area hospital campuses.

Eligible candidates may be offered a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time new hires, with various shift options including nights and days across multiple units. Weekend/holiday rotations and shift differentials apply per policy.

Competenze

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Some positions may require at least 18 years old.
• CNA Certification preferred.
• Basic CNA Course or EMT-B Certification.
• Valid Driver's License when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within three months from date of hire.
• Minimum Experience: Comprehensive on-the-job training provided.

• PCT performs patient care and treatments under supervision of an RN. Provides and documents care including activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
• Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
• Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
• Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.

Patient Care Technician - Methodist Hospital

$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time New Hires!

Under the direct supervision of a Nurse, the Patient Care Tech provides basic nursing care for the personal and comfort needs of the patient.

Units Available:

• Powell 5
  Shift:
  Part-Time Nights
• North 5
  Shift:
  Part-Time Days
• Younker 8
  Shift:
  Part-Time Days
• Powell 4
  Shifts:
  Part-Time Nights
  Full-Time Nights

Please note: all shifts may include a weekend and holiday rotation

Shift Differentials:

• Shift differential of $2.65/hr for hours worked 3pm-7am
• Weekend shift differential of $2.50/hr for hours worked between Friday 11pm to Monday 7am
