Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking a Nursing- Support (Clinical) colleague in Florida to provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the RN. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, specimen collection, and adherence to protocols to support 24-hour hospital operations.

Qualified candidates hold CNA or EMT/Paramedic licensure in Florida, with BLS certification, and CPI/Safety Care training within 6 months.

Qualifications

• CNA or EMT/Paramedic active licensure in Florida.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• CPI or Safety Care training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living including bathing and nutrition.
• Records vital signs and measurements in the EHR per policy.
• Performs venipuncture/phlebotomy and collects lab specimens as directed.
• Facilities patient care under RN supervision and escalates significant changes.
• Restocks supplies and maintains clean patient rooms and nursing station.
• Greets patients and families and communicates services clearly.
