Nicklaus Children's Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Doral UCC. The role provides direct and indirect care under the RN, performing invasive and non-invasive tasks to support 24-hour hospital operations.

You will handle ADLs, vital signs, specimen collection, and transportation with a focus on patient comfort and safety. The position requires Florida CNA/EMT licensure, current BLS, CPI/SafetyCare within 6 months, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualificações

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Active CNA/EMT licensure in Florida required/maintained.
• BLS certification required/maintained.
• CPI or SafetyCare training within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Receive assignments from the RN and initiate delegated tasks.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, hygiene, nutrition, and comfort.
• Record vitals, height/weight, head circumference and other measurements in the EHR per policy.
• Perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and assist with point-of-care testing under RN supervision.
• Inform RN of patient condition changes and seek re-prioritization when needed.
• Restock supplies and keep patient rooms and nursing station clean.
• Assist with patient transport for procedures and provide comfort to patients and families.
