Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff in the Doral UCC. You will perform direct and indirect patient care under an RN, assist with activities of daily living, take vitals, and help with basic procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

In this role you will follow written protocols, participate in team care, and maintain clean patient rooms and equipment.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license or EMT/Paramedic license in Florida, in good standing.
• BLS/CPR certification must be current.
• CPI or Safety Carey training within 6 months of hire and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect care under the RN.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic patient care.
• Take vitals, heights, weights, and other measurements and document in EHR.
• Support procedures such as phlebotomy, lab specimens, and EKGs as ordered.
• Communicate significant changes to the RN and prioritize care needs.
• Restock supplies and help prepare rooms.
• Promote cost containment and ensure a clean patient environment.
• Greet patients and families and provide compassionate service.
