Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System in Miami, FL, is seeking a Nursing- Support (Clinical) teammate for the SAME DAY SURGERY unit. This role assists patients with daily living activities, takes vital signs, and supports the clinical team under the supervision of a registered nurse.

You will maintain a clean, safe environment, help with room turnover, document care in the EHR, and communicate patient needs clearly to the nursing staff. BLS certification and Florida CNA/EMT license preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant or EMT/Paramedic license active in Florida.
• American Heart Association BLS active.
• 1-3 years of clerical or customer service experience.
• Fluent in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hygiene, nutrition, and comfort.
• Perform vital signs and measurements and document results in the EHR.
• Inform RN of changes in patient condition and prioritize care under RN direction.
• Restock supplies and assist with room preparation and turnover.
• Greet patients and families, provide information about NCH services, and deliver timely service.
• Maintain clean, organized patient rooms and nursing station; support transport for procedures.
