Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care and assist with unit coordination on an inpatient unit. You will perform basic nursing tasks, monitor vitals, assist with activities of daily living, and document care in the electronic medical record under RN supervision.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, ability to follow instructions, strong communication, and willingness to train.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Reading, writing and following oral and written instructions is essential.
• Basic math skills are required for tasks and documentation.
• Currently enrolled in ASN/BSN programs is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provides, obtains or performs and documents direct patient care and activities such as activities of daily living, vital signs, ambulation, specimen collection, input/output and documentation (30%).
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives (bedside shift reports, hourly rounding, safety protocols).
• Accurately documents vital signs and reports changes to nursing staff; maintains patient environment.
• Performs unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning; supports admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
