Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team in New Jersey. Responsibilities include delivering patient care across age groups, communicating with patients and nursing staff, and contributing to the care plan from admission to discharge.

The role supports a collaborative, learning-focused environment with opportunities for apprenticeship through the HMH PCT program. Required are a High School diploma or GED and completion of a PCT/CNA/MA program or equivalent

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of one of the listed PCT/CNA/MA/Nursing Assistant programs or equivalent medical background.
• HMH PCT Apprenticeship Program available if not yet qualified.
• Strong learning ability, accountability, teamwork, and dedication to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age-specific criteria and safety.
• Ensure effective and safe patient outcomes through clinical judgment.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and nursing staff.
• Show initiative to improve job performance and create opportunities.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning from admission to discharge.
• Engage in Unit/Department PI activities.
