Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide patient-centered care across the care team. You will collaborate with nurses and physicians to support patients from admission through discharge, while learning and applying best practices to improve outcomes.

Required qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and completion of a PCT/CNA/MA program or an accredited nursing program, with preferred apprenticeship options.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of one listed program or equivalent medical background.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age-appropriate criteria and safety considerations.
• Communicate with patients, nursing staff, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and care.
• Take initiative to improve performance and create opportunities beyond basic duties.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning from admission to discharge.
• Engage in Unit/Department PI activities.
