Job summary

Dupont-Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, maintain a safe environment, and communicate effectively with the care team.

This part-time, day-shift position requires 0-2 years in acute care or enrollment in a nursing program. BCLS certification within 90 days is required; CNA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care and keep a clean, safe environment.
• Record vital signs and patient data, reporting findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and mobility needs.
• Assist with positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and perform finger-stick glucose monitoring.
• Communicate patient information effectively to the care team and maintain professionalism.
