Job summary

Community Health Systems in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the CVIC unit on a full-time day shift (7a–7p). The PCT provides patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision, assists with activities of daily living, maintains a safe and organized environment, and supports effective communication within the care team.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
• Record patient data including vital signs, intake/output, and other measurements; report to RN/LPN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, oral care, grooming, linen changes, and mobility.
• Support patient positioning and use of mobility aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and perform blood glucose monitoring as directed.
• Maintain infection control and PPE adherence; participate in safety and quality initiatives.
