Job summary

Lutheran Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide patient-centered care under the direct supervision of an RN or LPN. You will assist with activities of daily living, help maintain a safe, organized care environment, and support effective communication within the health care team.

Responsibilities include collecting vital signs and other patient data, assisting with meals and hygiene, helping with mobility, and following infection control and PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required; CNA or CPCT certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care, maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized environment.
• Collect and record vital signs and other patient data, reporting findings to the RN/LPN.
• Support patients with meals, grooming, hygiene, and activities of daily living.
• Assist with patient positioning and mobility using walkers, crutches, canes, and wheelchairs.
• Collect urine and stool samples and perform blood glucose monitoring as directed.
• Communicate patient information effectively to the care team and follow instructions.
• Maintain infection control and PPE protocols and safety standards.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and risk management activities.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with all policies and standards.
