Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Technician to support patients with activities of daily living under RN/LPN supervision. The role involves vital signs, basic nursing tasks, and documenting care as directed.

Prior PCT/CNA fundamentals are preferred, with a focus on teamwork and patient-centered care. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification; phlebotomy or ED-specific duties may be required for certain shifts.

Qualifications

• Knows basic patient care skills and safety standards.
• Strong communication with patients, families and team required.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required where stated.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Support RN/LPN in plan of care and patient comfort.
• Take vital signs and document data; assist with procedures as trained.
• Support patient education and safety; participate in performance improvement.
• Assist in orientation of new hires as needed.
