Job summary

Virtua Health is hiring for a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician role. Under RN/LPN supervision, you assist with activities of daily living, support the care plan, and communicate with the healthcare team to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a PCT or CNA program (or 1 year direct patient care), and a valid BLS certification. Night shifts and on-site work are available with a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a PCT course or RN fundamentals training or CNA program, or one year of direct patient care.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• BLS certification required; phlebotomy training/experience required for certain ED positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, mobility.
• Monitor vital signs and perform point-of-care tasks as directed by RN/LPN.
• Perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Communicate changes in patient status to healthcare team.
• Support education of patient and family about care needs and safety.
