Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician for 18 hours per week on-site in New Jersey. Under RN/LPN direction, you will assist patients with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support the care team to ensure safe and compassionate care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a PCT/CNA program or equivalent experience. Hours are Day Shift with a 12-hour span, and certified phlebotomy or EKG duties may be required for ED positions.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• Basic patient care skills and standards.
• Goes through PCT or CNA training and relevant coursework.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, mobility).
• Communicate with the healthcare team and patient families.
• Maintain high standards of professional ethics.
• Perform vital signs, point-of-care testing, and related duties as directed by RN/LPN.
• Assist in orientation of new hires and participate in quality initiatives.
