Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a part-time patient care technician to support daily living activities under RN/LPN supervision. This on-site role emphasizes compassionate, professional care and teamwork in a Magnet-recognized system.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, taking vital signs, basic tests, patient safety education, and contributing to quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives. BLS certification and phlebotomy training are required for ED positions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PCT/CNA/RN fundamentals course or ~1 year direct patient care required.
• BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy training required for ED positions.
• Strong communication with patients and care team.

Responsibilities

• Supports activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, mobility.
• Performs vital signs, point-of-care tests, bladder scanning, and Foley care; may perform phlebotomy or EKGs if certified.
• Reinforces education of patient and family on care needs and safety.
• Supports Virtua patient satisfaction initiatives and goals.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Assists in orientation of new hires.
